The New York Beef Council hosts programs and events that bring people together around beef. Through education, partnerships, and outreach, we support producers and help consumers learn more about beef’s role in nutrition, sustainability and everyday meals.

2026 Best New York Burger Competition
WINNER ANNOUNCED!
The Best NY Burger Competition celebrates the best 100% beef burgers served in New York restaurants. The competition is proudly organized by the New York Beef Council, with additional support from the Iowa Beef Industry Council through a strategic state partnership.
Programs
NY Beef Quality Assurance (BQA)
BQA is a nationally-coordinated, state-implemented program that helps producers maintain proper management techniques. Get certified online or contact us for a list of dates for in-person training.
Beef for the Classroom
Every year, teachers apply to receive resources and have their beef purchases for classroom use reimbursed.
