2018 Beef Day Schedule
Each year Beef Day celebrates the vibrant beef industry in New York State and pays tribute to the hardworking beef producers who work diligently to provide high quality and nutritious protein to the millions of beef-loving New Yorkers. Below is a full schedule of events for the 2018 Beef Day at the Great New York State Fair.
In the Chevy Court Pavilion
10 am BEEF Day Kickoff
10:15 am 23rd Annual Media Grill-off Event “Branding Iron Chef”
Watch as some of your favorite radio and TV personalities vie for the title, “Iron Chef”.
12:30 pm 12th Annual “Create the Perfect Burger” Contest
10 NYS FFA Chapters will grill off for judges to determine the “Perfect Burger” Top 3 Winners receive $875 in prizes
In the Beef Barn
All Day Beef Barn Scavenger Hunt with prizes awarded

9:00AM Face of Farming – Get to Know our NY Beef Farmers Face to Face
9:30 am Highland Open Show live Bag Piper to open show
2:00 pm Hay bale throwing contest, open to the public

New York cattlemen welcome you to tour the Beef Barn. See and hear first-hand the real story of beef production from those who know it best our beef producers! Enjoy games, scavenger hunts and the Children’s Activity Center.
