The search begins for the Best NY Burger

Utica, NY (February 2024) –The New York Beef Council (NYBC) proudly announces the commencement of its highly anticipated 8th annual Best NY Burger Contest. This esteemed competition, set to kick off on March 1st, 2024, seeks to uncover and celebrate the finest 100% beef burgers served in restaurants across the state of New York. 

The Best NY Burger Contest, a beloved tradition now in its eighth year, invites burger enthusiasts from every corner of New York to participate in the nomination and voting process. Beginning March 1st, 2024, individuals can submit their nominations for the most delectable, innovative, and mouthwatering beef burgers they have savored during their culinary adventures. 

"We are thrilled to launch the 8th edition of the Best NY Burger Contest," said Chrissy Claudio, Director of Consumer Engagement at the New York Beef Council. "This competition not only celebrates the exceptional culinary talent found in New York's vibrant restaurant scene but also highlights the exceptional quality of beef produced in our state." 

Nominations will be accepted online until March 1st, 2024, with the voting phase commencing on March 6th, 2024, and concluding on April 1st, 2024. Burger enthusiasts are encouraged to visit the NYBC website and social media channels to participate in the nomination and voting process. 

To be eligible for consideration, nominated burgers must meet specific criteria outlined by the NYBC, including being composed of 100% beef and available on the restaurant's regular menu. Additionally, restaurants must be open for business by the beginning of the nomination period and operate year-round. 

The Top Ten finalists will be selected based on the number of nominations received, with each restaurant's top-performing burger earning a coveted spot in the final round. A panel of anonymous judges will evaluate the finalists based on taste, appearance, presentation, and overall eating experience to determine the winner of the 2024 Best NY Burger Contest.
