The NY Beef Checkoff joined forces with Undeniably Dairy for June Dairy Month!

ROME (MAY 2022)- Throughout June the New York Beef Council (NYBC) will co-host a weekly commodity collaboration with the American Dairy Association Northeast (ADANE) on both of their social media platforms. Videos highlighting the beef and dairy recipe pairings were created with the help of NYBC’s very own “Man with a Pan” aka Ryan Gros and the New York State Dairy Ambassadors, Gabby Taylor, Katie Jasmin, and Annika Donlick.  “Man with a Pan” and the Dairy Ambassadors served as a spokesperson and advocates for dairy farmers during this fun collaborative effort. Each collaborative video emphasizes the versatility of both beef and dairy and educates consumers on the nutritional benefits of beef and dairy products. Don’t miss watching these entertaining, informative videos, every Thursday in June on either New York Beef Councils Facebook or Instagram platforms.

The commodity collaboration was made possible through the partnership between NYBC and ADANE the four recipes below incorporate beef and dairy products. The first of four videos will be posted on June 9th and can be found by visiting the NYBC's YouTube page or clicking here: https://bit.ly/3m3PTe5

Four recipes were utilized for this fun collaboration:

1.    Cheeseburger and Milkshake Recipe

2.    Ribeye Steaks w/Blue Cheese Butter and Mushrooms

3.    Beef and Cheese Charcuterie Board

4.    Steak and Cheese Fondue

These videos were inspired by the popularity of the high protein diet trend. Protein helps you feel fuller longer which can minimize snacking in between meals. Both dairy and beef products are a source of high-quality protein. Dairy foods like milk, cheese, and yogurt deliver a powerful nutrient package that contributes to a healthy body, by not only providing high-quality protein but also nutrients such as vitamins A and B12, riboflavin, niacin, phosphorus, potassium, magnesium, and pantothenic acid. A 3-oz serving of cooked beef provides approximately 25 grams of high-quality protein plus 9 other essential nutrients in one tasty package and one glass of milk provides 13 essential nutrients, including 8 grams of protein.
