A perfectly paired beef dish with just the right New York wine makes for a wonderful pairing according to Dominick Purnomo, the Chef-Sommelier & Maitre d'hotel of Yono's Restaurant, located in downtown Albany.

Throughout the month of February New York Beef Council social media followers will receive tips from a trained wine professional on how to order and pair wine with their favorite beef entrée. Dominick also shares tips learned throughout his years as an expert sommelier such as how to order a bottle of wine without blowing your budget. Six videos will be released across New York Beef Council’s YouTube, Facebook, Twitter and Instagram accounts.

New York Beef Council will also be holding their “Eat Amour Beef” contest, asking social media followers to take pictures of themselves preparing beef dishes they love or eating beef dishes with loved ones- family, significant others, pets, friends- anyone they enjoy preparing or eating their submissions with.  Social media users will be able to submit pictures on Facebook, Instagram, and Twitter as well as on NYBC’s website.  Submissions will be accepted from February 1st through midnight of Valentine’s Day, February 14th.  One winner will be randomly selected, from acceptable entries, to receive a $100 gift card.
