New York Beef Council, for a third year in a row, asked a simple question during a very complex time in the restaurant business, “Who has the ‘Best NY Burger”’? This question was finally answered after an innovative and unique month long campaign filled with a call for nominations, “See How It’s Made” Facebook Lives of the Top 10 Nominated Burgers and customer utilizing “Crave Appeal” looking at drool worthy pictures to help decide which burger is the best!
The 2020 “Best NY Burger” Winner is FIRST TIME WINNER – Pennellville, NY’s Monirae’s – “The Mighty Declan Burger”
Monirae’s “Mighty Declan” Burger was named after the owner’s grandson, Declan. The Burger is “Giant and Exciting” just like the burger’s namesake! The Declan is comprised of, 8oz NY Strip Steak (ground), and 8oz of 80/20 ground beef chopped fresh daily, homemade cheese sauce, fresh sautéed mushrooms, 3 pieces of bacon, sautéed onions, more cheese sauce on a fresh baked local roll, topped off with Dill pickles! It is Mighty Indeed! Plaque presentation, Facebook Live and congratulations will be given to owners Paul and Kathy Meyers of Monirae’s as soon as New York restaurants re-open for full service!
