The New York Beef Council is excited to direct you to a new resource for your classroom and to support student learning as they explore not only culinary techniques, but also the products with which they work! Beef U is FREE and EASY to incorporate into your teaching with the simple goal of educating your students on where beef comes from and how it can be successfully utilized in the kitchen.
Where did you get your degree? Beef U! That’s right — the checkoff hosts an online free, interactive training program called Beef U. Each Module is 15-20 minutes long and has a short quiz at the end. Training modules include: • The Modern Consumer • Beef Nutrition & Health • Raising the Beef Your Consumers Love • Beef Basics and Cuts
Culinary Instructors involved in the ProStart program have an opportunity to earn a free classroom teaching tool. The first 15 schools to have 15 students complete the Beef U modules in their classroom will receive an interactive, beef teaching tool, valued at $250, to assist students in learning their beef cuts.
