The "Create the Perfect Burger" Cook-off is:
BEEF DAY!
August 26, 2008 @ 1pm

WHERE:
Another helpful topic, where is the event taking place?
The New York State Fair!

HOW:
How do you enter?
Check out this website, read the Rules and Regulations and check out the guidelines.  See tips on how to write a recipe.  Get your creative culinary juices working, sharpen your pencil and write!  Test your recipe on your family and friends!  If they survive!!! Submit your recipe to

WHO:
Who can enter? According to the rules, anyone 18 or over (if under 18, have your mom or dad cook with you!) 
If your recipe is selected YOU will be expected to cook-off your recipe on Beef Day (August 26). 
If for some reason you can not make it...find an appropriate substitute!
We realize "things happen", but try your best to be there, it will be worth the effort! It's a FUN time!

WHAT:
What will we (New York Beef Industry Council) do?
1. NYBIC will supply all the ground beef!
We will supply (85% or 90%  based on recipe request. 

2. NYBIC will supply all equipment (THE GAS GRILLS, pots, pans, burger flippers, knives, measuring utensils, foil, plates etc)

3. NYBIC will give each contestant 2 tickets for the NY State Fair for the day of the contest
 (one for you and a cheerleader/friend).

4. NYBIC will give each contestant 1 free parking pass
for the day of the contest.

5.  NYBIC will give out prizes!!!

What will you (the contestant) have to do for the contest? 

1. You (the contestant) will need to enter.
2. You (the contestant) will need to be selected.
3. You (the contestant) will need to be there to cook off your recipe.
4. You (the contestant) will need to bring
ALL INGREDIENTS
(buns, condiments, flavorings, secret formulas)
(remember NYBIC will supply the ground beef!)

That's It!

One last item....the GRAND PRIZE!
